PUBLIC CALL FOR SUB-MEASURE 6.1 Support for the start-up of activities for young farmers for 2021
SUMMARY
Žan Bric received financial support under sub-measure 6.1 Support for the start-up of activities for young farmers for 2021. The financial support “Support for the start-up of activities for young farmers” is co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).
The young successor undertook to carry out agricultural activity on the transferred farm in accordance with the planned objectives. On the farm, he will increase the competitiveness of the transferred holding, introduce innovations and, through investments in fixed assets on the farm, contribute to the positive environmental impacts of agriculture. The young successor will begin keeping the prescribed accounts for the primary agricultural activity in his own name. The farm holder will meet the conditions for an active farmer within the prescribed deadline.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
The farm taken over by Žan is engaged in plant production, mainly viticulture and fruit growing (table grapes), which is also the main source of income. By purchasing the planned machinery and agricultural mechanisation, he will improve the competitiveness of the farm and contribute to a lower environmental burden caused by harmful inputs. The purchase of ICT equipment will contribute to the modernisation of the farm and greater administrative efficiency. With the help of ICT equipment, the farm will more efficiently manage business and administrative activities, follow developments and communicate with other stakeholders.
GOALS
- Economic development of the farm: increase the competitiveness of the agricultural holding;
- Through farm management, contribute to the achievement of horizontal objectives: innovation and environmental protection.
EXPECTED RESULTS
- Increased diversity of production on the farm;
- Higher revenue and income on the farm;
- Employment on the farm.

ACTIVITY NAME
“BRIC ACCOMMODATION”
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
Within the investment “BRIC ACCOMMODATION”, to be carried out by Žan Bric – holder of a supplementary activity on the farm, the reconstruction and extension of a building will take place, which will be entirely intended for the implementation of a supplementary activity on the farm – short-term accommodation. The planned reconstruction will include the arrangement of 4 rooms with private bathrooms and the renovation of the boiler room and sanitary facilities. The newly extended building will include the placement of a new access for persons with reduced mobility and the entrance to the accommodation premises, as well as the arrangement of a smaller wellness area, accommodation capacities in the form of 2 rooms with private bathrooms and the arrangement of balconies. As part of the investment, a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 12 PE and a rainwater collection tank will also be installed.
GOALS AND EXPECTED RESULTS
The aim of the investment is to expand the activities of the agricultural holding, which means offering tourist content mainly related to accommodation capacities – room rental and local experiences. By expanding its activity, the farm’s offer will gain added value and will also have a strong impact on further growth and development, as well as an increase in employment.
The results of the investment will be new tourist accommodation and, consequently, an additional offer of local experiences on the farm, with which we will be able to attract many more visitors and thereby raise the recognition of the farm.

ACTIVITY NAME
“INVESTMENT IN THE ARRANGEMENT AND PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FOR THE BRIC WINE CELLAR”
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
Within the investment “INVESTMENT IN THE ARRANGEMENT AND PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FOR THE BRIC WINE CELLAR”, to be carried out by Žan Bric, the reconstruction and extension of the building for the purpose of arranging the wine cellar will take place, together with the purchase of new advanced technological equipment for processing grapes into wine and equipment for storing wine on the Bric farm. In addition to the listed equipment, equipment for fruit processing will also be purchased, and a standalone simple building made predominantly of wooden structural elements will also be erected, intended for the storage of agricultural produce.
GOALS AND EXPECTED RESULTS
The aim of the investment is to upgrade the basic agricultural activity and improve the conditions for processing grapes into wine. In addition, the aim of the new capacities and advanced technological equipment in the wine cellar is to improve the economic capacity and competitiveness of the farm.
The result of the investment is a reconstructed building with new equipment, which will enable higher revenues and greater productivity on the farm, an increased volume of own wine production, the development of new products, and improved quality and added value of the products.

ACTIVITY NAME
“INVESTMENT IN WINE CELLAR EQUIPMENT”
SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Bric agricultural holding is applying to the 1st Public Call for the sub-intervention of farm investments under intervention IRP35 Investments in the processing and marketing of agricultural products to increase productivity and technological development, including digitalisation, for 2025 with an investment in:
- equipment for the tasting room,
- wine processing equipment,
- wine processing equipment that enables the use of more advanced digital technology.
OPERATION GOALS
The reasons for deciding to carry out the investment are related to the need to modernise the fixed assets on the agricultural holding. Wine processing equipment depreciates over time through use, which is why it needs to be replaced with new equipment, which is usually also technologically more advanced. In this way, the agricultural holding can operate normally and develop at the same time.
